TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Pursuant to Senate Bill No. 1139 the following fee increase will become effective September 1, 2015:
- Electronic Filing Fees: Increase of $10 on all new case filings, appeals, counterclaim, cross actions, intervention, interpleader and third-party actions that require a filing fee for the Civil and Probate division.
What does the County Clerk do?
The County Clerk is the clerk for the county courts, including probate courts, and the commissioner's court. The clerk is also the local recorder for the county. All instruments filed for record are done so in the clerk's office. In the absence of an election administrator, the clerk carries out elections for the county. The clerk's office issues marriage licenses, and maintains vital records on behalf of the county.
