Bid No. 2011-055-5508 Annual Contract for the Purchase of Commercial Grade Broadloom Carpet awarded to: Mohawk Carpet Distribution, Inc. and Mannington Commercial. (CONTRACT DATA PROVIDED MARCH 22, 2011)

Court Order: Accepting payment of $2,428.95 from State Farm Insurance Company for their insured, Cuong Vo, as settlement of property damage sustained by Dallas County on or about April 12, 2011, and authorizing the County Judge to execute any and all documents approved by the District Attorney's Civil Division to effectuate this settlement.

Court Order:  Denying Willie Garnett’s request for a reduction of Dallas County’s workers’ compensation subrogation lien, but recognizing the statutory attorney fees of $4,647.64 and ordering paid to Attorney Paul Wingo from the $13,942.92 third-party recovery which he obtained.

Court Order:  Authorizing the deletion of a Caseworker, grade CC, position #2994 in the Welfare Division along with other listed line item changes for an annual savings of $233,785 including benefits.

Court Order:  Authorizing the reorganization of the Justice of the Peace 1-2 staffing, resulting in converting one (1) full-time Clerk II, grade 6, position into two (2) part-time clerk positions, whose combined hours do not exceed 40 hours per week.

Court Order:  Approving the award of FY 2011 Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 (TEA) Part B Formula funds in the amount of $17,807, to service providers, as outlined, and authorizing the County Judge to sign the contracts on behalf of Dallas County.

Court Order:  Approving the award of FY 2011 Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 (TEA) Part A Formula funds in the amount of $64,669, to service providers, as outlined, and authorizing the County Judge to sign the contracts on behalf of Dallas County.

Court Order:  Approving the request of the Dallas County Juvenile Department to release Request for Proposals No. 2011-080-5619 for purchase of residential services for FY 2012.

Court Order:  Authorizing submission of the listed position descriptions to the Dallas County Human Resources Department, and authorizing the Dallas County Human Resources Department and/or Civil Service Commission, as required, to proceed with evaluating the positions for position numbers and/or pay grade and classification.

Court Order:  Authorizing staff to enter into contract negotiations with the highest ranked firm, Schneider Electric as the susceptible firm for award consideration and final contract negotiations with respect to RFQ No. 2010-089-5231, Request for Qualifications Proposal of Energy Service Companies for Performance Contracting.

Court Order:  Rendering Alliance One Receivables, Linebarger Goggan Blair and Sampson, Gila LLC dba MSB Government Services and Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott, LLP as susceptible firms to proceed to Step Two of the approved High Technology procedures established for RFP No. 2011-036-5427, Request for Proposals for Collection Services for Justice of the Peace Courts, and authorizing staff to proceed accordingly.

Court Order:  Authorizing the cancellation of Bid No. 2011-066-5547, Annual Contract for Infectious Medical Waste Removal and Disposal Services, rejecting all bids received from award consideration, and authorizing staff to re-solicit bids at a later date.

Court Order:  Approving the specific projects and total funding commitment as identified in the “Transportation Funding Commitment – Revision #16” dated May 31, 2011 for funding in the Major Capital Development fund as authorized by the annual CIP plan and annual funding approvals, with said “Revision #16” supersedes and replaces in its entirety the previously approved “Revision #15”.

Court Order:  Authorizing and directing the County Judge to execute the outlined Master Agreement Governing the Major Capital Improvement Program with the City of Mesquite-District 2 and City of Glenn Heights-District 3.

Court Order:  Approving and adopting new boundaries for commissioners precincts, effective upon pre-clearance approval from the U.S. Department of Justice.
