A Message from Commissioner Cantrell:
I am privileged to serve as your County Commissioner for District 2. As your Commissioner, I have the responsibility and the duty to ensure Parkland will continue to be financially viable, it will perform to its potential and most importantly, it will meet the needs of our community.
Parkland: You Decide
The Parkland of today stands in stark contrast to the now retired building it left behind in 1974. Standing amongst Children’s Medical Center and UT – Southwestern Medical Center, Parkland has evolved from a building sitting on a 17-acre meadow to 685-bed facility, a leader in Level 1 Trauma and the Region’s only burn center. Parkland Hospital remains a pillar in medicine, serving as one of the largest teaching hospitals for future physicians, scientists and other health-care professionals.
