County Clerk’s Office (Recording, Probate, Vitals' and Trust) will be closed on Wednesday, August 31 to Friday, September 02 while we move to a new building. On September 06, we will be open for business at our new location in the Renaissance Tower.

What does the County Clerk do?

The County Clerk is the clerk for the county courts, including probate courts, and the commissioner's court. The clerk is also the local recorder for the county. All instruments filed for record are done so in the clerk's office. In the absence of an election administrator, the clerk carries out elections for the county. The clerk's office issues marriage licenses, and maintains vital records on behalf of the county.
