The Dallas County Clerk Trust Department is responsible for investing trust funds for minors involved in a Probate Case (example, inheritance from the sale of property of a deceased family member) or Civil Case (example, accident/injury lawsuit). The funds that we invest are per the court-order and are eligible to be released to the minor upon their 18th birthday. However, between the time of investment and the minor reaching age18, we have lost contact with the minors resulting in unclaimed funds. Please consult our FAQ for more information.
