DCHHS hosts employee health fair
DCHHS held its inaugural health fair for Dallas County employees on May 13, 2015. The event included dental, vision, and glucose screenings, and blood pressure checks. Additionally, employees were able to receive information on nutrition, prostate awareness, public health preparedness, and more.
Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price welcomed employees to the event and commended DCHHS for its efforts to recognize employee health and wellness.
More than 25 vendors were present at the health fair to provide information and/or services. American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, Carter BloodCare, Donate Life Texas Registry, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and Parkland Health and Hospital System were among the many vendors.
