DCHHS gives Chikungunya virus update at Public Health Advisory Committee meeting
At the quarterly Public Health Advisory Committee (PHAC) meeting, DCHHS gave an epidemiology and environmental health update on Chikungunya virus. Epidemiology Program Planner Dr. Julie Martellini and Microbiologist Spencer Lockwood presented the information to the group. PHAC consists of municipal leaders within Dallas County and is chaired by Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price.
These presentations marked the beginning of DCHHS' 2015 campaign on Chikungunya virus.
