DCHHS goes PINK for breast cancer awareness

DCHHS staff came together to raise awareness for breast cancer and wore pink to show their support. Some employees wore T-shirts especially designed for DCHHS and donated by Promotional Specialties International Inc., while others wore different forms of pink attire.

Except for skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women. Men can also get breast cancer. Mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, when it is easier to treat and before it is big enough to feel or cause symptoms. Talk to your health care provider about your risk for breast cancer and recommendations on screenings.
