DCHHS Older Adult Services Program offers socializing opportunities to promote independence for individuals 60 years and older.
Senior Centers are open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Monday through Friday
Transportation to the center and back home can be arranged with center management.
SERVICES PROVIDED INCLUDE:
The elderly nutrition services program, authorized under Title III of the 1965 Older Americans Act:
- Provides funding to state agencies on aging to support congregate and home-delivered meals for people age 60 and older
- The program is designed to address problems of food insecurity, promote socialization and promote the health and well-bing of older persons through nutrition
Although not required, donations are appreciated to help fund the program.
