Welcome


The Dallas County Medical Reserve Corps includes both medical and non-medical volunteers.  This means you can volunteer even though you are not a medical professional.

  • Volunteer base is approximately 60% medical and 40% non-medical. 
  • No matter what your education or training, you will find a place of volunteer service with the Medical Reserve Corps. 
  • Upon completion of the MRC training basics, you’ll be ready to serve your community.

Introduction

The Dallas County MRC is governed by the Dallas County Health & Human Services

Department, Emergency Preparedness and Response Division.

  • A robust training program is available to all volunteers
  • The place to start is with basic Orientation (required)
  • Personal & Family Preparedness training is also required
  • Elective job-role training prepares volunteers for efficiency in specific roles
  • Leadership training is available for comprehensive MRC response

Mission Statement

The Medical Reserve Corp's mission is to assist the local community during a public health emergency by providing a rapid, coordinated and specific response using locally recruited medical, mental health, public health and health support volunteers appropriately trained in the latest emergency response methods.
