TEXAS RULES OF CIVIL PROCEDURE
For good cause shown, supported by affidavit of either party, the trial may be postponed not exceeding six days.

Do not contact the court by phone for a postponement. It is not a lawful or acceptable method to request a continuance, and will therefore not be considered.
