I proudly welcome you to the Dallas County Juvenile Department's web page. Our agency is charged with an enormous responsibility, the rehabilitation of youthful offenders. We have learned that to accomplish this task, it takes all stakeholders of the Juvenile Justice System working in unison toward a common goal. All of us, as we serve our three primary customers --- the client and his or her family, the victim and the community at large --- must remember that every decisions we make directly correlates to the offenders' chances of success and, ultimately, to the protection of our community. Our agency appreciates the strong partnerships we have in the Dallas area with law enforcement agencies, school districts, faith-based organizations and community providers.
We also express immense gratitude to the hundreds of citizens who volunteer to help us each year. These individuals and organizations provide thousands of hours of assistance to youth in the Juvenile Justice System, serving as mentors, tutors, and case aides, among others. Without their service our challenge to turn young lives around would be greatly magnified.
Because of the remarkable, hard working employees and volunteers who make up this agency, and our partner agencies in the community, that we indeed make a difference in the lives of the young adults we serve.
