Carrollton (NW Dallas County) Sandy Lake Road and McInnish Road.  Preserve is located at the end of the park’s interior road.

Trails:  1 mile natural surface trail inside of the protected area, and across the street,  ½ mile concrete trail for disabled persons, which offers the view of the Trinity River “Elm Fork” bifurcation.

History:  A family of pioneers used to get wood from this land to use it as fuel to cook, and heat the house.
