An excellent example of what can be produced when cities coordinate their efforts, this 7.3-mile "trail of two cities" links both the City of Grand Prairie and the City of Arlington together. The trail can be accessed in the Dallas County portion of Grand Prairie at Sheffield Drive/Dartmouth Drive just east of the Tarrant-Dallas County-line and at many other neighborhood entrances along the trail in Tarrant County.  The trail connects multiple neighborhoods, parks, recreational facilities, and schools. It features wildflowers in the spring, and other portions of it are heavily wooded before it ends at Matlock Road/Cravens Park Drive in Arlington.
