An employee of Dallas County, Jimmy Walter Smith retired and was recognized before the Commissioners Court on June 18 after serving as a Lead Painter for 29 years. A Dallas native and the son of an Air Force father, Smith attended W.W. Samuell High School and is married to Cindy Smith. Together they raised two children, Jason and Jennifer, and have three grandchildren.
Commissioner John Price, on behalf of the Dallas County Commissioners Court, extended “sincere appreciation” to Mr. Smith for his faithful service to the County and wished Mr. Smith the best on his retirement. Smith “has given long and faithful service to Dallas County,” Price said.
