Ms. Lavette Domineck enlisted in the United States Army and attended basic training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, and advanced individual training at Fort Lee, Virginia prior to her being stationed permanently at Fort Lee, Virginia.  Her combat tour included Operation Iraqi Freedom where she was deployed for almost a year in 2003.

Ms. Domineck serves as an advocate for veterans as the Assistant County Veteran Service Officer for Dallas County.   Assigned with the awesome responsibility of assisting eligible Veterans and family members in preparing and submitting claims for federal, state, and all other benefits one might be entitled to; she is also accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Veteran Service Organization (VSO) representative and holds accreditation with the Texas Veterans Commission.

Ms. Domineck currently holds the position of Secretary for the Veterans County Service Officers Association of Texas (VCSOAT) in which she has held this position for the second consecutive year.  She is also a member of the National Association of State Women Veteran Coordinators.
