The 2.2-mile Glenville Trail utilizes City and County funding, City property, and Oncor right-of-way to provide a number of key connections for the City of Richardson trail system: by connecting with the Duck Creek Trail, it completes a series of trails that begins at the City's northern boundary at Renner Road and that ends at its southern boundary near Spring Valley Road.

In addition, the Glenville Trail connects with the City's major athletic/recreational facility (Huffines Park), several schools and neighborhoods, and the north-south Yale dedicated bike lane.
