“At 4:00pm on Tuesday, December 30th, County Judge Clay Jenkins, County Administrator Darryl Martin and officials from the Dallas County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management had a conference call with Tom Bradshaw of the National Weather Service. Based on the most current weather information, it is not anticipated that there will be a need to deviate from normal Dallas County work hours this week.
It is expected that temperatures will dip slightly below freezing tonight but not enough to cause widespread road problems. It’s possible we’ll receive precipitation on New Year’s Eve and likely the morning of New Year’s Day; however, temperatures are not anticipated to be low enough to cause widespread problems on the Eastern side of the metroplex. Conditions are expected to be worse west of Dallas County. Please exercise caution on the roadways and we wish everyone a very happy and safe New Year.”
