Tomorrow, October 9, and next week, Tuesday, October 13, 2015 (7:00am – 8:00pm) there will be a film production operating on Jackson Street (behind George Allen Sr. Courthouse). The production is a television series by TVM Productions, called “Queen of the South.” The City of Dallas has approved road closures surrounding the area: Jackson Street (500-800 block), Wood (500-800 block), Record (200-300 block) and Market (200-300 block) will all be impacted. Pedestrian traffic will be allowed to flow freely.
County staff is coordinating with the Dallas Police Department (DPD), Dallas Film Office, and DART. The county facility that will be directly impacted by the above mentioned lane closures is the George Allen Sr. Courthouse. During these two days of filming, all employees and elected officials will be required to carry their county badges.
TVM Productions sent out a notification letter to all businesses that will be impacted (please see the attached information). Also, fliers, signage and local news agencies will be utilized as communication tools.

Next week, October 6, 7, and 8 (7:30am – 7:30pm) there will be a film production operating in Dealey Plaza. The production is a television series by Warner Bros. called “11-22-63” based on the novel by Stephen King. The City of Dallas has approved road closures surrounding the area: Elm Street at Market Street, Main Street at Market Street, and Houston at Elm Street. See map for the impacted streets.
- The road closure on Elm Street will begin at Market Street. At Market Street, one lane on Elm Street will be kept open to allow employees and the public access to the parking garage. Past Record Street, all lanes will be blocked on Elm Street.
- Main Street will be closed at Market Street and past Dealey Plaza.
- Commerce Street will not be impacted, you can enter the underground Dallas County parking under the Old Red Courthouse, from the left lane at Commerce and Houston Streets, for jury parking for the George Allen Courts Building.
