She has over 25 years of cross-industry experience in the legal, government, non-profit, and corporate arenas. She earned her law degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, where she was a published member of the law review.<\/p>\n<p>As a former Dallas County Assistant District Attorney, Ms. Obasi handled matters concerning defendants with mental health, substance, and\/or alcohol use issues. She tried a half dozen Civil Commitment of Sexually Violent Predator cases, represented the State in hundreds of hearings, and briefly served as the county\u2019s public records attorney.
