He was sworn in as a Deputy Sheriff in December of 1996. He was assigned to Detentions, Court Services, and Warrant Execution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deputy Roel Salas was promoted to the rank of Senior Sergeant in 2008. While in that rank, he served as a first-line supervisor in the Freeway Management Division, Court Services, and Personnel Section.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2016, he was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to the Technical Services Intake Section, the Court Services Communications Section, and the Training Academy\/Range Master.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2023, he was promoted to Captain and was assigned to the Professional Standards Division.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2026, Captain Salas was honored to be chosen as an Assistant Chief Deputy by Sheriff Marian Brown.
