What’s New at the County Clerk's Recording Division:
The Dallas County Clerk is now offering Electronic Certified Official Public Record (OPR) Documents for purchase on the Clerk's website. Each electronic certified document uses advanced encrypted features to produce a tamper proof electronic certified document that will include a unique County Clerk digital signature.
Electronic certified documents can be purchased online anytime, anywhere, 24-hours a day. It is fast, easy and convenient. Electronic certified documents are more secure and environmentally friendly in comparison to paper certified documents.

Notice Regarding the Recordation of Court Documents
The Dallas County Clerk’s office requires all documents being presented for recording in our Official Public Records as a result of a court action, be a “certified copy,” authenticated by the court or clerk providing the document.
Administrative Order 2023-1; Regarding Deposits of Fees for Attorneys ad Litem
Effective November 1, 2023, Probate judges of Dallas County signed an amended order increasing the deposit of attorney ad litem fees to $600.
HB 1195
Effective July 1, 2023, the law requires a photo ID for all documents submitted to the county clerk conveying property from one person to another.
Notice of PROCESS CHANGE E‐Filing Proposed Orders
Effective January 2, 2019, the Dallas County Clerk ‐ Civil Division will be implementing the newest proposed order filing standards determined by the Judicial Committee on Information Technology (JCIT), Technology Standards.
