Andrea Martin is a 1996 Graduate from Our Lady of the Lake University with a Bachelor's Degree in English and a Minor in Political Science. She attended Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and graduated with honors in 2000. While at Texas Wesleyan, Andrea Martin was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society.

After law school, Andrea Martin took a position with the Dallas County District Attorney's Office and begin prosecuting criminal cases. Later, Andrea Martin moved to the Juvenile court and began representing Child Protective Services in child abuse and neglect cases.

In 2003, Andrea Martin left the District Attorney's Office and began her own private practice in Dallas, Texas.

Andrea Martin has spent a lot of her time giving back to the community. She has participated in the DISD Mentor program and she continues to be a frequent speaker at many elementary schools. Andrea Martin has also handled legal cases for those who are not able to afford an attorney and has been recognized by the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program as an Outstanding Pro Bono Attorney. Andrea Martin also was awarded the Dorothea N. Hornbuckle Business Entrepreneur Award in recognition of her excellence in business.

Andrea Martin is a member of Disciple Central Community Church in DeSoto, Texas, where she has been a member of the choir and currently is an active member of the fitness ministry and serves as a boot camp and running instructor.

Andrea Martin is also a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and is the mother of one child, Oliver.

Andrea Martin's rallying cry is "Protecting Our Children!" She and her court staff are dedicated to doing what it takes to help ensure Dallas County's next generation has the best opportunity for success! She will always do what it takes to Protect all of OUR Children!
