Ceremony Information
Judge Jones will be pleased to perform your marriage ceremonies during regular business hours, at our Courthouse in Grand Prairie, Texas, or you may schedule the Judge to perform your ceremony at your venue location other than the Courthouse.
Please follow these steps to schedule a ceremony at the Justice of the Peace 4-1:
- Please obtain a Marriage License 72 hours PRIOR to scheduling a ceremony.
- Once you have obtained a Texas issued married license, schedule your Wedding Ceremony proposal date by emailing: jp41weddings@dallascounty.org.
ARRIVAL TIME: Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time and check in at the court lobby. In the event of a delay, you MUST contact the court by phone at (214) 751-4040 or email jp41weddings@dallascounty.org.
Marriage License Information
To apply for a Marriage License, please refer to the County Clerk Marriage License site for information on securing a marriage license.
Please note: The wedding ceremony may be performed as soon as 72 hours after the purchase of the marriage license, but not after 90 days from the date of purchase.
- Wedding ceremonies are offered in both English and Spanish (subjected to availability of staff).
- Guests are welcome.
- Wedding ceremonies are performed during business hours, Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm and on Saturdays by appointment.
- The ceremony could take 10-15 minutes.
