Requests for copies of misdemeanor cases prior to 2011, or certification of copies, can be made via email, mail, or in person. For cases from 2011 to present day, plain copy documents are available online via our Court Portal. Cases prior to 2011 are retained at an offsite warehouse and may take up to 72 hours to retrieve, please call or email ahead of time before coming in person.

File your completed petition for expunction with the Criminal Division of the Districts Clerk’s Office. You may file your petition in person or by mail. The filing fee is $292.00 and is due upon the time of filing. If you are due a cash bond refund, please make sure that you have your request for refund processed prior to filing the expunction. If you have questions regarding the expunction process, please call (214) 653-5960, a District Clerk staff will assist you with your inquiries.
County Courts has concurrent jurisdiction with the District Courts in civil cases regardless of the amount in controversy.
File your completed petition for non-disclosure with the Clerk's office of the court in which your case was filed and heard in.
Once the case is disposed, the payor may submit the original cash bond receipt to the County Clerk Office on the 2nd floor of the Frank Crowley Courts Building, either in person or by mail at 133 N. Riverfront Blvd. LB43, Dallas, Tx. 75207. If the refund is requested via mail, a copy of the driver’s license, the original cash bond receipt and a notarized letter from the requestor is required. The letter of request for the refund must also include the address in which the payment should be mailed. All refunds are made payable to the person listed as payor on the receipt. The person listed as payor on the receipt must be present to change the mailing address, or if by mail, the payor must sign the notarized letter. No change of address request will be honored by anyone, other than the payor. The listed payor must appear in person to apply the cash bond to fines and court costs. Any Bond posted after September 1, 2015, Pursuant to Chapter 117, Subchapter C, Sec. 117.055 of TX Local Govt. Code, an admin. fee of 5% not to exceed $50.00 will be deducted at the time of refund. The cost of an occupational driver's license due to a conviction or an automatic license suspension is $350.00.
If this is your first appearance, there is a digital docket located on the 2nd Floor of the Frank Crowley Building. If your name is found, you will proceed to the designated court. If your name is not found, report to the County Clerk's office on the 2nd floor, Room A1.
