DALLAS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 22.02 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $29.08.

The Housing Services for Criminal Justice Involved Clients (HSH-CJC) project places participants in boarding home accommodations and support service linkage for up to 6 months as they work toward achieving permanent housing placement.

 Please note that funding is available for a maximum of 6 months, and the qualifications are outlined below.

 If you know of any individuals who may qualify for and benefit from this program, please provide their information based on the below structure.

We will assess their eligibility, check the bed availability, and keep you updated on the outcome.  

We look forward to supporting our community members in their reentry and pursuit of self-sufficiency.

Neighbor Eligibility

  •  18 + years old
  • Self-report homelessness/unshelteredness
  • One (1) bookin at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center
  • Registered sex offenders are accepted (on a case-by-case basis)
  • Need a higher level of care other than shelter stays
  • Able to perform activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • *Funding is only available to house individuals for 6 months *
