CJD Housing Programs
The Housing Services for Criminal Justice Involved Clients (HSH-CJC) project places participants in boarding home accommodations and support service linkage for up to 6 months as they work toward achieving permanent housing placement.
Please note that funding is available for a maximum of 6 months, and the qualifications are outlined below.
If you know of any individuals who may qualify for and benefit from this program, please provide their information based on the below structure.
We will assess their eligibility, check the bed availability, and keep you updated on the outcome.
We look forward to supporting our community members in their reentry and pursuit of self-sufficiency.
We also look forward to your referrals.

Neighbor Eligibility
- 18 + years old
- Self-report homelessness/unshelteredness
- One (1) bookin at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center
- Registered sex offenders are accepted (on a case-by-case basis)
- Need a higher level of care other than shelter stays
- Able to perform activities of daily living (ADLs)
- *Funding is only available to house individuals for 6 months *
Referral Email Structure
Please send referrals to: cjdhousing@dallascounty.org
Please include in the referral email:
- In the email subject line: “Possible Housing Candidate”
- Email Body: Participant’s full name, Date of Birth and Age
- Last four of their Social Security Number
- Dallas County Bookin Number (if feasible)
