FUSE Program

FUSE Logo

The Criminal Justice Department is a core partner of the Frequent Users System Enhancement (FUSE) Grant, which focuses on assisting frequent-jail utilizers who self-report homelessness to secure support and wrap-around services. The program is funded by both the United Way and Texas Instruments. City Square serves as the lead agency of the project.

The program is a partnership between the Dallas County Jail and local shelters in the City of Dallas, and includes: Austin Street, The Bridge, and the Salvation Army. The Criminal Justice Department FUSE navigator works to connect eligible defendants(Qualified for the FUSE program) with the program’s core system partners and other community resources and services with the goal of placing the client into permanent or permanent supportive housing.
