3T x 4H = Success!!! A FORMULA THAT WORKS

On October 25, 2024, Turn of the Tide Ministries (3T Ministries) was notified that it’s application to be a 4-H club in Dallas County had been approved. 3T Ministries is an all-male youth organization that mentors, models, and motivates todays young an into tomorrow’s prepared leader. 3T main stays are its gardening and S.T.E.A.M. initiatives. 3T hopes to enhance and intensify the instruction in these areas thru 4H to further grow its members.

The first activity that 3T Ministries signed up for is the 4H Grow Texas Gardening Competition. Students from 3T planned, prepped and planted a garden for the competition. The competition is nearing its close at the writing of this article. 3T must submit a video chronicling the maintenance, watering, and harvesting of the garden’s bounty. An article with the contest results will soon follow.

3T Ministries hope to increase its 4-H footprint by participating in STEM activities and competitions. Many of 3T Ministries’ members have their eyes already set on careers in engineering and technology. New pathways and opportunities can be the result of the new 3T/4H relationship.

In fact, three 3T Men have taken advantage of 4H opportunities by participating in the 2025 Ignite Teen Conference in Washington DC, sponsored by 4H. Aiden Applewhite, Collin Nolan, and Leonte Williams participated in this life changing conference. They returned energized and enthused to communicate the details of the event to their 3T peers.
