CHANGES in the 101st District Court’s Docket during COVID-19 Pandemic
(effective July 29, 2022)
Jury Trials
- Jury trials may be conducted on a case-by-case basis when the Dallas County Covid-19 risk level differs from the Centers for Disease Control ("CDC") Covid-19 risk level.
- If both the Dallas County and CDC Covid-19 Risk levels are RED, then no jury trials will be conducted.
- Because of the rapidly changing COVID-19 risk levels and the conflicting risk levels between Dallas County and CDC, it is recommended that all parties continue to make their trial announcements via email to 101court@Dallascounty.org.
Non-jury Trials
All Non-jury trials will proceed as scheduled via ZOOM or other platform. Parties are expected to make their trial announcements via email to 101Court@Dallascounty.org.
Hearings
All hearings will proceed as scheduled via ZOOM or other platform. All motions should be set for a hearing by contacting the Clerks at (214) 653-7256. The movant shall send the email addresses of all hearing participants to 101Court@Dallascounty.org.
AGREED Submission Docket
An “AGREED Submission Docket” has been created for those motions where ALL PARTIES CONSENT to the Motion being considered on the “AGREED Submission Docket”. This “AGREED Submission Docket” will continue until further notice. To schedule a motion on the “AGREED Submission Docket,” please contact the Clerks at (214) 653-7256.
Dismissal Docket
If your case is on the dismissal docket and an answer is not on file, please email the court at 101Court@Dallascounty.org.
