Judge Muñoz was appointed as an Associate Judge to the Civil District Courts in 2024. Prior to taking the bench, she practiced as a civil litigator for nine years, representing individuals and companies in business, commercial, insurance, and labor and employment litigation at one of Dallas’s premier litigation firms.

Judge Muñoz is very involved within the community. She served as President of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers in 2023, and continues to serve as a director on several bar association boards. Prior to her judicial appointment, she served as a commissioner on the Dallas Disabilities Commission, and she provided support and pro bono services to parents of special needs and medically complex children. Judge Muñoz was selected as one of D Magazine's Best Lawyers under 40 from 2021 to 2024. She was also named numerous times to the Super Lawyers Texas Rising Stars from 2019 to 2024, among various other awards.
