What We Do:
The District Clerk’s Felony Collections Office has the responsibility of collecting court costs, fees, and fines assessed against persons convicted of (or placed on deferred adjudication or deferred disposition for) felony charges when they are not prepared to pay all court costs, fees, and fines, at the time of assessment and when time to pay is requested. The office is subject to Article 103.0033 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure and is regularly audited by the Office of Court Administration’s Collections Improvement Program.
Required of All Defendants Ordered to Pay Court Costs and/or Fees:
Defendants must report to the Felony Collections Office within 5 days of sentencing and/or release from jail to make payment arrangements. The Felony Collections window is located on the second floor of the Frank Crowley Courts Building next to the District Clerk’s cashier window and the Central Jury Room:

Defendants are interviewed by a Felony Collections Officer and a payment installment plan will be developed. All defendants must fill out the Application for Payment Extension available at this link or at the collections window prior to being interviewed by a collections officer.
Paying Court Costs and Fees:
BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY PAYMENT:
- Payments are for Court Costs, Fines, and Court Appointed Attorney fees ONLY.
- A transaction fee of $2.00 must be included with each payment.

Visa/MasterCard, Cash, Check, or Money Order.

CASHIER WINDOW:
All forms of payment are accepted at the District Clerk’s cashier window on the second floor of the Frank Crowley Courts Building, 133 N. Riverfront Blvd., Monday through Friday 8AM to 4:30PM.
24-HOUR DROP BOX:
You may drop checks or money orders at the after-hours drop box located to the left side of the front doors of the Frank Crowley Courts Building (Industrial Blvd. entrance).
