District Clerk Felony Division
On Friday, January 30th at 6pm, the district clerk’s office will deploy the Odyssey ‘Custom Business Rules’ (CBR) functionality for the first time since go-live in May of 2023. The CBR functionality conforms all data entered into the clerk’s case management system Odyssey to pre-determined business rules that conform to statutory reporting requirements and case management best practices.
What does this mean for the eFilers?
We do not believe there will be an impact on the ability of eFilers to submit their pleadings. However, in some cases where information was previously entered into the case that does not conform to the business rules, eFilers may receive an error message. The Texas eFiling system is set up so that any errors are handled in an ‘error queue’ by the clerk’s office, but we want to make sure filers have the ability to contact us if they encounter an issue.
