The Family, CPS, and Juvenile Divisions of the Dallas County Public Defender’s Office provide comprehensive, client-centered representation in cases that shape the lives of children and families. From custody and family law matters to child protection (CPS) proceedings and juvenile delinquency cases, these divisions advocate for indigent clients at critical moments where rights, safety, and futures are on the line.

Using a holistic approach, attorneys collaborate with investigators, social workers, and community partners to address both the legal issues and the underlying challenges families face. Through dedicated advocacy and thoughtful engagement with the courts, the divisions work to promote fair outcomes, protect due process, and support stronger, more stable families.
