Criminal Justice Advisory Board (CJAB) | Chair | The forum for law enforcement, community, business and professional collaboration leading to an effective and just criminal justice system that ensures Dallas County is safe, secure and prepared. Continuous Improvement Steering Committee (CISC) | Member | The Continuous Improvement Committee helps drive departmental participation, ensures initiatives are resourced, and cheers successes as the Commissioners Court aims to take the organization to a higher level of operation. | Monthly |
DWI Taskforce | Chair | Dallas County’s DWI taskforce is a volunteer organization composed of more than a dozen civic and government entities of Dallas County. The DWI’s mission is educating the Citizens of Dallas County from the youngest to the oldest about the dangers of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. | Quarterly |
Facilities Management Committee | Chair | The mission is to ensure an exceptional built environment that supports our government processes and enhances the delivery of high-quality services to our residents and businesses. New Life Opportunities | Chair | Is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provide resources to victims of prostitution as they transition between services and continue toward recovery. It oversees the STOP (Solicitors, Traffickers, and Offenders of Prostitution) School that provides education to ‘johns” or male clients who solicit women for prostitution. It also works with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office Pre-Trial Intervention (PTI) program. | Quarterly |
North Texas Behavioral Health Authority (NTBHA) | Vice-Chair | Oversees State-funded indigent mental health and substance use disorder services for a six-county region that includes Dallas, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro, and Rockwall Counties. | Monthly |
Public Employee Benefits Cooperative (PEBC) | Board Member | Provides government employees choice, flexibility and value as they strive to manage costs in an era of double-digit health care increases. The PEBC provides many services including joint purchase of employee benefits and cost-effective, centralized administration. Member groups include Dallas County, Tarrant County, the North Texas Tollway Authority, Denton County and Parker County. | 6 - 8 Times/Year |
