PAY ONLINE

Fines may be paid in person or by mail by cashier’s check, cash, money order, credit card, or debit card. The mailing and physical address of the court is Justice of the Peace 4-2, 106 W. Church Street, Suite 210, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. Cashier’s checks or money orders should be made payable to Dallas County OR Judge Sasha Moreno OR Justice of the Peace 4-2. Do not mail cash. Personal checks are not accepted for fines and court costs for issuance of a bad check.

Fines may be paid online here. You will need your case number to make a payment. Please put your case number on your payments. If you have misplaced your case number, please call the court at 214-589-7000.

There is a one time, time payment fee of $15.00 added to cases if the cases are not paid in full within 30 days of entering a plea. A collection fee of 30% of the total cost owed is added to cases if no activity, such as a payment, occurs within 60 days.

The Texas Department of Transportation may place an administrative hold on your driver’s license if a traffic ticket remains unpaid. This means that a driver’s license cannot be renewed until the full fine, court cost, and Omni fee is paid in full.


DEFENSIVE DRIVING

You have the right to successfully complete a driving safety course or a motorcycle operator training course if you were charged with: failure to obey warning signs under Transportation Code § 472.022; a misdemeanor traffic offense under Subtitle C, Title 7, Transportation Code , or operation of a motor vehicle by a minor under Transportation Code § 729.001 (a)(3). There are some instances where you are unable to take a driver safety course.


FAILURE TO PAY TOLL

If you enter a plea of guilty or no contest, present a receipt for restitution of toll(s) from the North Texas Tollway Authority on or before your appearance date. With restitution paid, the court may reduce the fine and court cost. To obtain a receipt for payment of tolls from the NTTA, contact the following:

If you do not wish to enter a plea of guilty or no contest and desire a trial in this matter, you must make a personal appearance before this court on or before your appearance date.


ISSUANCE OF A BAD CHECK

If you enter a plea of guilty or no contest, present a receipt for restitution of the check from the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. To obtain a receipt for payment of restitution contact the following:

JUVENILES & MINORS

If you are younger than 17 years of age or if you received a citation prior to your 17th birthday or you are under the age of 18 and charged with an alcohol or tobacco related offense, you must appear before the court with a parent, guardian or managing conservator. A plea must be entered in open court before the Judge. Please contact the court to schedule a hearing. The number is 214-589-7000.
