Dallas County is under a Burn Ban starting July 27, 2026, in effect for 90 days.
DALLAS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 22.02 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $29.08.

Notice of Public Hearing on TY2026 Tax Rate Increase

A public hearing was held on the proposed tax rate on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Dallas County Commissioners Court, Records Building, 500 Elm Street, 2nd Floor Court Room, Dallas, TX 75202,  and Commissioners Court adopted the Dallas County ad valorem tax rate for TY2026, information below.

In compliance with Chapters 111.066, 111.067, and 111.068 of the Local Government Code, the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, Texas does hereby give notice that a public hearing on the proposed FY2027 County Budget, as prepared by the County Budget Officer, was held on Tuesday, the 11th day of August, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. and Commissioners Court adopted the Dallas County FY2027 Budget, information below.
