Combination and Token Trailer license plates can only be issued by your local county Tax Assessor/Collector's office.
Commercial fleets and Apportion License plates are issued by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles: https://www.txdmv.gov/motor-carriers. In person please contact the local regional office in Carrollton or Fort Worth.
Proof of payment of the Federal Heavy Vehicle Use Tax (HVUT) is required to register a commercial motor vehicle with a gross weight of 55,000 lbs. or more.
