County Criminal Court #11 offers an opportunity to:

  • Observe real courtroom proceedings such as trials and hearings
  • Complete a rotation with the different divisions in the criminal justice system (District Attorney’s Office, Public Defender’s Office, Coordinator, Clerks and Community Supervision)
  • Interact and gain mentorship from legal professionals
  • Learn what it takes to make a court successfully function
  • Observe and participate in court-run community outreach programs


In addition to resume and cover letter applicants: 

  • Must have no Criminal History
  • Must be at least 17 years of age
  • Minimum 2.7 overall GPA
  • Microsoft Office Proficient
  • Self-sufficient and eager to learn
  • * Summer interns will be required to participate in a mock Voir dire and opening/closing statement
