Grants Division Function
The Grants Division oversees the financial administration of all County-managed grant programs. This division ensures that grant funds are received, recorded, monitored, and reported in accordance with federal, state, and grantor requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounting records for all grant-funded programs
- Monitor grant expenditures for compliance with funding requirements
- Assist departments with grant budgeting and financial reporting
- Prepare and submit required financial reports to grantor agencies
- Ensure timely reconciliation and closeout of grant awards
Financial Audit Division Function
The Financial Audit Division performs independent reviews of the County’s financial activities to ensure accuracy, accountability, and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial and compliance audits of County operations
- Review departmental financial records and internal controls
- Verify the accuracy of financial statements and accounting records
- Perform statutory audits as required by state law
- Support transparency through published audit reports and findings
Internal Audit Division Function
The Internal Audit Division evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, and operational processes across County departments.
Responsibilities:
- Assess internal controls to safeguard County assets
- Review departmental processes for efficiency and effectiveness
- Identify risks and recommend corrective actions
- Conduct special investigations as requested
- Provide objective analysis to strengthen County operations
