DALLAS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 22.02 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $29.08.

Regular physical activity can reduce the risk and impact of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, cancer and other chronic conditions. Peer support and community involvement can provide the motivation you need to get started and help you stay active.

This team-based physical activity challenge gives participants the opportunity to set personal health goals, track and view individual and team progress in friendly competition across Dallas County. Each participant logs daily steps and/or physical activity minutes. Participants receive individual and team recognition throughout the challenge, and top performing teams are eligible to win prizes.This program is offered at no charge through partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.
