STEP 1: REQUEST A PASS

For a 01/01/2026 (initial registration) pass, the Enrollment Payroll Deduction Form must have been received by central HR (Records Building, 4th Floor, Suite 4200) by 10/31/25 – no exceptions. The Enrollment Payroll Deduction Form can be submitted in person or via email at DART.Pass@dallascounty.org.

For participation on 02/01/2026 or later (Feb., Mar., Apr., etc.), your Enrollment Payroll Deduction Form must be received at least one month in advance and by the 1st of the month for the following month’s participation (Ex, if you plan to ride DART beginning 02/01/2026, your form must be submitted to central HR (Records Building, 4th Floor, Suite 4200) no later than 01/01/2026). STEP 2: SELECT PASS TYPE

Select the type of pass you wish to purchase (i.e., Local or Regional). The pass you select is the pass you will get and be required to pay for via payroll deduction.

STEP 3: COMPLETE THE FORM

Complete the DART Annual Pass Enrollment Payroll Deduction Form Calendar Year 2026 and submit to central HR (Records Building, 4th Floor, Suite 4200) by 10/31/25 for 1/1/2026 participation OR by the 1st of the month for participation in the program for the next month.

STEP 4: DOWNLOAD DART GOPASS APP

The “Go Pass” app is available for iPhone and Android through their respective stores, eg the App Store or the Google Play Store. You will need to download and install the app to access your DART Annual Pass.

LOST/STOLEN PHONES

If you lose your phone, the “Go Pass” app can be deactivated and reactivated on a replacement phone. However, you must contact central HR (Records Building, 4th Floor, Suite 4200) for the reactivation. HR will notify DART to deactivate the app on the lost phone and reactivate on the replacement phone.

1. Regular full-time employee, excluding elected officials or Certified Law Enforcement Officers. (Law Enforcement Officers ride free).
2. Complete the DART Annual Pass Enrollment Payroll Deduction Form for 2026.
3. Must purchase pass in advance (at least 1 month), except for the 1/1/2026 pass, which must be purchased by 11/1/25 for 1/1/2026 (initial registration).
4. Employees pay the full cost of the 2026 DART Annual Pass. Dallas County does not subsidize passes. Passes purchased during the year are prorated based on the number of months (pay periods) remaining in the calendar year.
5. Once purchased, the pass is yours and cannot be returned. If you leave Dallas County employment during the year (2026), you will retain the pass, with no exceptions. However, please contact central HR (ext. 7668) to discuss further. The balance of the annual amount owed for the pass will be deducted from your final payroll check.
6. Passes are good through 12/31/2026, and new pictures are not required if you participated in the DART program for 2025. If you are new to the program, a picture is required. Please see the Photo Submission tab below for detailed inforamtion.

What is the difference between a Local and a Regional pass?

• Local - All DART buses, express buses, DART-on-call, Flex Routes, all light rail Red/Blue/ Green/Orange, and Trinity Railway Express (TRE) from Union Station to Centre Port Station.
• Regional - Local Pass Coverage + all Ft Worth “T” services, and Denton’s DCTA services, including the A-Train.

Do I need to provide a picture?

• If you have previously participated in the 2025 DART Annual Pass program, NO - it should be on file.
• If you are a new DART Annual Pass program participant, YES.

If I need to take a picture, what do I do?

When is the latest I can submit the payroll deduction form in order to sign up for the DART Annual Pass?
You must submit the payroll deduction form to HR by 10/31/2025, for a 1/1/2026 start date (initial registration). If you wish to enroll after January 1, 2026, please view the DART Annual Pass Purchase Deadline tab above.

When will I see the first DART Pass Deduction?
January 2026 will be the first payroll deduction for the DART Annual Pass for those participants electing to start 1/1/2026.

Question: What is the Go Pass?
Go Pass is DART's mobile app, which is available for both iPhone and Android. Once installed (and once your payment is in place) your pass will be accessible through the app. Note: If you lose your phone, you don't have to buy another pass, since the pass is tied to your cell phone number. If your phone number changes or your phone is lost/stolen, HR can request that Dart deactivate and reactivate on a new number or device.
