    The County Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Dallas County Government under the direction and authority of Commissioners Court and in support of Dallas County’s Strategic Plan. This key leadership position coordinates the development and execution of strategic goals and objectives, performance management, and sound fiscal management with significant responsibility to proactively identify and resolve problems/issues to ensure ongoing County operations. The County Administrator also provides guidance and coordination to all County departments to ensure that County business is conducted in the most efficient and cost effective manner. In maintaining a presence in regional and state matters, the County Administrator serves as liaison between Dallas County and other government entities, private sector groups, business/industry leaders and non-profit organizations. Among many other critical responsibilities, the County Administrator actively participates in and works closely with the budget office on the annual budget process and implementation to ensure sound fiscal management of county funds and resources.
