GUARDIAN AD LITEM GUIDELINES
This list includes the names of Guardian Ad Litems with whom the Court has personal experience or knowledge of their aptitude for handling personal injury cases and/or representing minors and/or incapacitated adults in bringing timely closure to the disputes before the Court. If you are interested in becoming a GAL with the 116th Civil District Court, please stop-by the Court to visit with Judge Parker and/or the Court Coordinator about your experience and qualifications.
EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2016: Guardian Ad Litems and Attorney Ad Litems are required to submit separate orders to the Court for approval of their fees. Such fee approvals, even if agreed upon by counsel, should no longer be included in the final judgments.
The Court reserves the right to modify this list to add or remove appointees based upon their qualifications or poor performance in bringing timely and proper closure to cases with recommendations in the best interest of the minor or incapacitated adult.
