Special Notice: Viewing Family Case Information and Documents

Pursuant to the Texas Supreme Court’s order effective January 1, 2014, the District Clerk, in consultation with the Dallas County Commissioners Court, suspended online access to records of the family courts. This “sensitive data” includes social security numbers, bank and credit card account numbers, addresses and dates-of-birth of even minor children involved in parental divorce proceedings.

The Supreme Court’s order prohibits the inclusion of “un-redacted” sensitive data on pleadings filed by litigants and attorneys in the district courts. That order also prohibits online access to any pleading that includes sensitive data. Unfortuately, many filers continue to include sensitive data in their pleadings in contravention of the Supreme Court’s order.
