2. Only accept requests for copies of Birth Certificates between the hours of 9:30am-10:30am & 1:30pm – 2:30pm

About Judge Metzger

Bill Metzger was elected Justice of the Peace for Dallas County Precinct 2, Place 2 in November of 2014. Judge Metzger is a 40 year resident of North Texas, a successful businessman, a board member and past Chairman of a large financial institution, a community volunteer, and a proud husband and father. He also previously served as a member of the Dallas County Community College District Board of Trustees, a unique distinction allowed by the Texas Constitution under Article XVI, Section 40.

Judge Bill Metzger

Bill Metzger is a devoted husband and father. He currently resides in Sunnyvale with his wife Emilie and sons Billy and Jack. They are members of St. Pius X Church and attend Divine Mercy of our Lord, where he is a volunteer Sunday school facilitator.

Judge Metzger's roots in Dallas County go back over 30 years. Reared in Mesquite, he was involved in youth sports competing in the Mesquite Soccer Association and Boys Baseball Inc. After graduating from North Mesquite High School in 1989, he graduated from the University of Dallas in 1993 with a BA degree in Economics. Bill spent 9 months in Europe living in Rome, Italy gaining an understanding of the United States' place in the world. He completed his MBA from Texas A&M University-Commerce, graduating with honors in 2007. He believes that every Texan has a responsibility to make our communities stronger.

Prior to being elected Judge, he was elected to serve on the Board of the Mesquite Credit Union, a multi- million dollar financial institution and was later elected to serve as its Chairman. He was honored with a selection to join the prestigious Credit Union Executive Society after being elected as Chairman.

Judge Metzger currently and has given countless hours of service as a volunteer in Dallas County as a registered soccer coach, an Upward basketball coach, a past committee member for Llaves del Exito, a volunteer for the Dallas ISD Principal for a Day program, a past officer in the Knights of Columbus Council #13158, and as a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He also volunteers by serving on the Stone Canyon HOA board. He was also appointed in 2007 by the Dallas ISD School Board to serve a two year appointment with Dallas ISD Superintendent Dr. Michael Hinojosa's Community Advisory Committee. Bill also supports the Mesquite ISD as an underwriter of the Mesquite Education Association Cowboys and Kids 5K Run.

As a small business owner, he believes that building a business starts from the ground up. He supports the local business community as a member of the Balch Springs, Mesquite, Rowlett, Sachse, Sunnyvale, and the Greater Hispanic Chambers of Commerce. He was nominated by the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for the Spirit of Texas Small Business of the Year Award. Judge Metzger also serves on the Hispanic Forum of Mesquite. He is helping to create jobs through his involvement as a volunteer and member of the Texas Association of Business.
