DALLAS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 22.02 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $29.08.

In planning and performing the independent audit of the financial statements of Dallas County in accordance with standards generally accepted in the United States, the independent auditors’ consider internal control over financial reporting as a basis for designing audit procedures that are appropriate in the circumstances, but not for the purpose of expressing an opinion on the effectiveness of Dallas County's internal controls over financial reporting.

At the conclusion of the independent audit a Report to Management is prepared that details certain matters that come to their attention and that they wish to bring to the attention of management.
