SAMHSA Residential Treatment Grant
SAMHSA Residential Treatment Grant

The SAMSHA grant awarded to the Dallas County Criminal Justice Department will both expand and enhance substance abuse treatment services for existing problem solving courts.
The primary goal is to increase availability and length of residential substance abuse treatment to women and minority males, reduce the time waiting in jail for a treatment bed, and provide peer recovery support services to reduce recidivism. The project specifically focuses on those at highest risk who are clinically assessed as in need of intensive residential treatment.
