The East Dallas Government Center, formerly located at 3443 St. Francis Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75228, has officially relocated to a new, state-of-the-art facility.

The former facility at 3443 St. Francis Avenue is now closed. We are excited to welcome residents, visitors, and employees to our new location, designed to provide an improved and more modern environment for serving the East Dallas community.

DALLAS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 22.02 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $29.08.

Charge: To oversee development and implementation of a process to identify needs and barriers, keep the assessment of needs current and develop a comprehensive plan to implement the priority goals of the Planning Council.

The Planning & Priorities Committee is responsible for:

  • Developing & implementing the Comprehensive Plan (every 3 years)
  • Advising the Administrative Agency on how best to meet the need for prioritized services
  • Ensuring the Needs Assessment process is conducted and is current (every 3 years)
  • Determining program development and capacity need recommendations
  • Updating the Continuum of Care annually, or as appropriately needed.
