Stanley Victrum Photo - SM marines.png Stanley “Vic” Victrum was selected for and subsequently started on August 5, 2020 in the position of the Director of Veteran Services for the Dallas County Government in the State of Texas.  Dallas County in terms of population is the 2nd largest in the State of Texas and the 9th largest in the Nation with more than 90,000 Veterans currently calling Dallas County home.   Immediately prior to assuming his duties as the County Director of Veteran Services, he had served as the Chief Information Officer for the County Government since August 2011 where he led the County Information Technology (IT) Team of over one hundred and fifty (150) dedicated IT professionals in delivering IT production and project services to over six thousand (6,000) County Staff members.

Prior to his service with Dallas County, Victrum served as the Chief Information Officer for the City of Fayetteville, North Carolina from August 2008 to July 2011, as an Assistant City Manager with the City of Fayetteville, North Carolina from May 2004 to July 2008, as the Director of Information Technology for Gaston County, North Carolina from October 1999 to April 2004, as the Director of Information Technology for both the City of Albany and Dougherty County, Georgia from January 1996 to September 1999 and as the Information Services Manager for Vanguard Cellular Systems in Greensboro, North Carolina from August 1993 to December 1995.

Victrum also served the Nation as a United States Marine Enlisted and Officer on active duty from October 1976 to September 1993 in the Radio Communications and Data Systems fields respectively and then as a Marine Officer in the Ready Reserves from September 1993 to November 2003, being honorably discharged at the rank of Major.

In terms of education, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (1982) in Mathematics (Magna Cum Laude) from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina and a Master of Science degree (1987) in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He also holds a Master of Ministry degree (2001) (Summa Cum Laude) from the Queen City Bible College in Charlotte, North Carolina as well as a Graduate Certificate (2006) in Municipal Administration from the University of North Carolina School of Government in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Victrum has been very happily married to his bride, the former Inetha Georgianna Wilson of Cross, South Carolina, since July 1982 and is blessed to be the father of three children, the grandfather of two granddaughters and a mentor of many. He currently serves with his wife as a Spiritual Growth Course Facilitator at the Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas where the Reverend Dr. Tony Evans is the Senior Pastor. His previously served as a Church Elder, Associate Minister and Jail Ministry Volunteer at The River Community Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina under the servant-leadership of Pastor Todd Brady.
