DALLAS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 22.02 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $29.08.

PROTECTION...for vulnerable older adults commonly exposed to financial predators by ensuring that there is a court authorized guardian of the person and/or the estate and regular monitoring for every older adult determined by a court to be incapacitated.

PROSECUTION...of cases involving the exploitation and abuse of older victims through a special unit of the District Attorney's Office dedicated solely to investigating and prosecuting financial crimes against older adults.
