Denika R. Caruthers serves as General Counsel for the Dallas County Juvenile Department. General Counsel advises all areas of juvenile services. General Counsel is committed to providing high-level legal consultation, advice, and representation to the Executive Director of Juvenile Services, Executive and Administrative teams, Juvenile Board, Youth Services Advisory Board (YSAB), Academy for Academic Excellence Charter School, and the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program. General Counsel manages Legal Services and Contract Services, the latter responsible for all residential and non-residential services.

Unless otherwise noted, General Counsel neither advises nor represents youth or individual staff members in personal legal matters.
